Why open hardware?

Fully documented

Schematics, PCB files, BOM, and assembly instructions are public. If you can solder, you can build your own.

Repairable

No hidden firmware, no locked bootloaders, no artificially short replacement cycles. Fix it, mod it, keep it.

No subscription to function

The hardware works without a cloud account. Software integrations are opt-in, not required.

Community-driven

Fork the designs, contribute improvements, or just use them. OSHW licence means the community can maintain it if we can't.
